Pastor Roger Head said that his "greatest asset" is his wife of 44 years, Charlene. They have 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. They also have 4 grandchildren, 1 girl and 3 boys.
He and Charlene both grew up in North Augusta, SC, and they met while they were in high school. They both graduated from Clemson University in May, 1976. Pastor Roger received a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Charlene received a B.S. in Nursing.
At Clemson he made the 3 most important decisions of his life: he received Christ as Savior, he and Charlene got engaged, and he surrendered to God's call to preach.
In December 1979 he received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.
He began full time ministry in April 1980. He pastored for 37 years. Kerr Memorial is his second Interim Pastor church.
He looks forward to working with Kerr in the spreading of the Gospel.

Michelle and her family began attending Kerr at the end of 2009 after she was repeatedly invited by their neighbor who was a member of our church. She did not grow up in church and was unsure of what to expect. After the warm welcomes they received, the church members immediately felt like family, and she knew this was a place for her family.
Michelle accepted the Lord's calling on her life to serve as our church's secretary when the position became available in February 2014. She has always enjoyed helping others, and so this felt like the perfect fit for her. At that same time, she also went back to college to get her Associates Degree in Office Administration. She graduated in May of 2017!
She enjoys working with our youth group, and preparing the PowerPoint presentations to accompany the Worship Services on Sunday mornings. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs. She also loves to ride on the back of her dad's Harley!
The verse she tries to apply to her daily life is Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."

While living in Virginia, she became a Certified Biblical Counselor through Christian Counselors Training Center in Richmond.
